We teach security, so we try to practise it. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your information.

This website

• We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people find our programmes, but only if you say yes in the cookie banner. Until you accept, no analytics script loads and no analytics cookie is set.
• If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city), your device type and the links you click, such as Apply. IP addresses are anonymised. We don't use advertising features and we don't sell or share this data.
• You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings in the footer. Choosing "No thanks" removes the analytics cookies.
• Our fonts are served from this website, not loaded from Google Fonts or any other third party.
• Like any website, our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

When you apply

Applications go through a Google Form. The details you enter there (such as your name, email and background) are stored in our Google account and used only to run our programmes: assessing applications, contacting you about your cohort, and improving our training. Google's own privacy policy also applies to the form.

If you graduate: the certificate register

So that employers can check your certificate, we publish an encrypted record of it on this site: your name as printed, the programme, cohort, issue date and certificate ID. The record can only be read by someone who already has both your certificate ID and one of your names as printed, so there is no public list of alumni. You can ask us to remove your record at any time; employers will then no longer be able to verify that certificate online.

When you contact us

The contact form on this site doesn't store anything. It opens WhatsApp with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send there. If you email or WhatsApp us, we keep the conversation so we can reply and help you. We never sell your data, and we never share it with hiring partners or sponsors without your permission.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to cyberprowesshq@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you are in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 also protects these rights.
